Budajenő and Hilltop II.
We would like to draw your interest to an exceptionally beautiful
area of the Budapest conurbation.
Although not within close proximity
to Budapest , Budajenő and the HillTop residential development
are easily accessible from the capital, and yet far enough from the
city hubbub. The beautiful surroundings have over the years made
this one of the most popular residential areas.
The HillTop II site is located on the administrative boundary of
Budajenő, ensuring no further construction will take place and leaving
the local environment intact for the future.
Budajenő lies beyond the Buda Hills on the edge of the Zsámbék basin,
10 kilometres to the west of the Budapest administrative boundary.
The basin is bordered to the west and north-west by the Gerecse foothills
and to the north and north-east by the Buda Hills, rising on the
horizon to a height of 556 metres. To the south a lower range of
hills surrounds the area with the basin opening to the south-east
offering views of the Etyek Hills in the distance. Similar settlements
with populations of 1 000 to 4 000 can be found in the basin. Looking
from west to east the ruined priory of Zsámbék and the communities
of Tök and Perbál can be seen giving onto the houses of nearby Telki.
Access
Budajenő lies in the east of the Zsámbék basin, 10 kilometres to
the west of the Budapest administrative boundary.
1. From Budapest via Budakeszi and Telki to Budajenő
2. Zsámbék exit M1-M7 motorway via Tök and Perbál to Budajenő
History
The settlement is approximately 3 500 years old and Hungary's richest
finds from the Middle Bronze Age (Vatya III.) were discovered here.
Excavations took place on a 10 hectare site following which a collection
of 900 pieces was amassed, richly demonstrating the era.
